Coach Amy Briggs enters her third season as Head Coach of the Jets.
Prior to Truman, Briggs spent four seasons at Central College, the Dutch increased their win total every year. In her last season they won 15 games, being the highest single season win total in 19 years and made their first trip in 16 campaigns to the conference tournament. Briggs helped produce 5 All-Conference players and 1 D3Hoops.com All-Region player.
Briggs began her coaching career at Missouri Valley College as a graduate assistant. While at MVC, Briggs helped produce an NAIA All-American honorable mention, HOA Conference Newcomer of the Year, and 4 All-HOA Conference performers.
After JCCC, Briggs took her talents to Truman State. Briggs earned first team All-GLVC and earned All-GLVC tournament team after leading the bulldogs to their first conference tournament title in 2014. Briggs set a single-season record with 80 three-pointers through 31 games. Through her career at Truman, she averaged 41% from behind the arc (133-324), averaged 11 points per game while bringing in 199 assists and 50 steals.
Briggs began her playing career at Johnson County (Kan.) Community College where she appeared in 2 NJCAA Division II Championship tournaments and earned All-American status. In her career at JCCC, the Cavs earned a 64-8 overall record.
Kansas native, earned all-state and all-metro honors at Lansing High School.
